Our Beloved Sponsors

This free community event would not happen without the participating retailers and the supportive community groups of Nambour, and these, our fabulous major sponsors - please return the love!

Proudly Supported by the Sunshine Coast Council’s grants program.

We are very grateful for the ongoing assistance of the Sunshine Coast Council to Retro Rocks Nambour through their grants programmes. We also appreciate the aid of our new local councillor, David Law, taking over from his predecessor, Cr Greg Rogerson who had been supportive of Retro Rocks Nambour since our beginning.

We are very grateful to Senator the Hon. James McGrath who has covered most of our printing from the first,

and to the Hon Robert Skelton MP, who has taken over this year.

Mike Korsos is our official photographer and has been the major prize sponsor for the Miss Glambour  pinup competition since our inception - and again this year, even though he couldn't be here in person. He does fabulous work - most the fabulous images on this site were provided by Mike.

Check out more Retro Rocks Nambour pictures and other work on his website or facebook page

Nambour State College was founded in 2016, resulting from the amalgamation of Nambour State High School and Nambour State School. Two of the oldest schools on the Sunshine Coast had co-existed for decades and decided to join forces to help provide the best possible education for our students.

Students enjoy extensive facilities and resources in this large campus in the heart of Nambour.

Retro Rocks Nambour are grateful to Nambour State College for hosting the High School Hop in Hungerford Hall - definitely the best dancefloor in town - maybe the best on the coast!

DW Sound.jpg

DW Sound was founded by Dan Webbe (Director) in 1996, with just two speakers and a microphone, and is now a thriving production company. Heath Moore, renowned Audio Engineer, teamed up with Dan in 2004 to help grow the Nambour company into a one-stop-production-shop for some of Australia's top touring artists and music festivals. But they like to look after the locals. These guys make us sound good and have once again sponsored the backline for the High School Hop.

Mr Beesley.jpg

Mr Beesley's Vintage Clothing Shop was one of the shops that inspired the creation of Retro Rocks Nambour, and Miss Vicki has been one of the organising committee from the early days - as well as presenting vintage fashion parades, judging Miss Glambour and Fashions on the Field and providing prizes for these and more. Her generosity with her time and sponsorship have helped create the event we have today. And her shop is full of really great stuff! Check it out - https://www.facebook.com/mrbeesleyvintage
